After high school, she joined PZO Polytechna, where she spent 3 years
working in the department of technical assistance for Comecon countries.
After two years, she started a distance learning programme at the
Faculty of Trade of the University of Economics in Prague, where she
majored in Foreign Trade. She graduated in 1984. After 1978, she worked
for 15 years at IMEX (later IMEX a.s.), whose objective was to balance
internal market imbalances by exporting surplus goods and importing
goods of which there was a shortage. She first worked as a clerk, and
later as a department head with a focus on Comecon countries and
Yugoslavia. She acted as a member of the supervisory board elected by
employees for four years. In 1996 and 1997, she worked as logistics
director of the SSI Schäfer company. In 1997, she joined Česká exportní
banka as a credit manager. Currently, she heads one of the credit teams
of the export and project financing section of CEB. In November 2010,
employees elected her a member of the supervisory board.
