Petr Križan (born in 1976) |
Graduate from the Faculty of Applied Economics of the Mendel University, Brno. Between 1999 and 2000 he worked as an expert for international transport in Čechosped. Next 10 years he served at the Office for the Protection of Competition in Brno, first as a consultant specialized in state aid in restructuring, later he became the Head of the Restructuring Department. Since 2005 he was the Director of the State Aid Division and in 2008 he became the Deputy of the First Vice-Chairman of the Office. He was responsible for the overall concept of the state aid in the Czech republic, represented the country at the European Union in matters related to state aid and was responsible for the relevant national legislation in this area. In this capacity he participated in negotiations on Competition chapter of the Treaty of Accession of the Czech Republic in the EU including negotiation of the restructuring of the Czech Republic's banking and steel sectors under the EU state aid legislation. He is a member of the Appeal Committee for Investment Incentives at the Ministry of Industry and Trade and a member of expert groups for state aid.
