Financing engineering and power engineering production exports is the major part of export support and that is why the participation at the tradefair a peak of the bank's local activities with respect to focusing its clients and partner banks. For the period of its existence since 1995, Česká exportní banka has supported the Czech exports in the amount of almost 200 billion Crowns. Financial engineering production exports amounts to 97 % of the current ČEB credit portfolio as a whole, the amount of which exceeds 21 billion Crowns.
Financing power engineering units and equipment exports with 51 % share remains the major area of exports supported by state via ČEB. A significant share of almost 38 % falls on financing of the Czech business entities' investments abroad in power engineering sector in the countries with assumed significant economic growth that the investors want to exploit. Financing engineering complexes for various industries including relating engineering activities with a share of credit portfolio exceeding 39% is the second basis on which the ČEB activities are based. Range of the industries reaches from sugar refineries, cement factories to for example printing industry and newly also raw material mining and geological prospecting. Financing of traffic and public infrastructure projects performed by experienced Czech construction companies has become its permanent part. Range of ČEB activities focusing on support of success of the Czech companies abroad is then complemented by financing exports of individual machines, either machine tools or other machines generally used in industry or electro technical equipment.
As at 31. 8. 2007 Česká exportní banka's portfolio includes credits provided for financing exports to 30 countries. Apart from significant share of financing exports to the SNS countries (Russian Federation and Ukraine, developing Moldova), Indian subcontinent is a new territory where the countries face the need of new energy resources thanks to their fast economic growth. Supplies of the Czech exporters are linked to investments from the previous decade. Completely new country that the Czech companies penetrate thanks to ČEB financing is Mongolia, especially in the effort to utilize its vast mineral wealth.
An accompanying event of the tradefair in this year is the international exhibition Transport and Logistics. This area has been gaining more significant position within the ČEB portfolio. For the period of its existence, the bank financed exports of almost all types of vehicles (trucks, public traffic vehicles - trams, trolleybuses, busses - new as well as overhauled trainer aircrafts and their parts, river and sea-river ships) and other machinery. Recently some Czech companies also export large construction works within infrastructural line transportation projects, construction of roads and railways such as for example reconstruction and modernization of railway Nikšič – Podgorica in Montenegro for 50 mil. EUR and expressway Baku – Russian Federation border and other construction in Azerbaijan in the value of 180 mil. USD. Works on construction of new or expansion of current ports are under negotiations.
Česká exportní banka will present itself on the tradefair as an integral part of state support of exports that apart from financing and financial consulting includes consultancy and marketing services (Czechtrade) as well as insurance of export risks (EGAP). Globally, the system of export support is an example of effective co-operation of private and public sectors. Optimum ways of financing exports with state support and involved private credit resources, a mutually beneficial co-operation is achieved between the private entities and state. The system aims at providing effective and targeted support of state to make the prosperity of local exporting companies the effective tool for solving current problems with employment, social areas and development of the business environment itself. On the ground of Working group for financing exports of the Czech Banking Association, ČEB with its partners seek expansion of possibilities for commercial banks to enable them directly or together with ČEB provide their clients with access to state-supported export financing in even larger extent.

ČEB provides Czech exporters with state-supported financing of exports and financial services related to exporting goods and investments, thereby enabling Czech exporters to enter tenders on the global market under conditions comparable to those of competitors from other developed countries. All of CEB’s activities are in full compliance with WTO rules, relevant recommendation of the OECD, and European Union directives. CEB actively cooperates with other organizations providing state support, particularly Czech Trade, and uses insurance from EGAP. CEB’s mission is to support entrepreneurs by means of the most advantageous financing, not for maximum profit. CEB has the same rating evaluation as the Czech Republic.
